Doula services
A doula is a non-medical professional who assists expectant parents emotionally and physically through pregnancy, labor and childbirth. A doula serves as a companion, support person and even a birthing coach for laboring mothers.
Our doula care services
The HCA HealthONE Rose Doulas Program includes a network of experienced, passionate doulas, known as Rose Doulas, credentialed at our facility.
What is a Rose Doula?
Rose Doulas offer emotional and physical support during labor and childbirth to both you and your birthing partner. Using relaxation techniques such as massage, touch, aromatherapy, visualization, optimal positioning, and breathing patterns, doulas are supportive during both medicated and unmedicated births. Doulas do not replace a birth partner but rather assist you and your partner in having the birth experience you desire. Rose Doulas also provide support during Cesarean births. For more information about our birthing doulas please call (303) 320-2001.
Selecting your labor doula
While you have many options to choose a doula in Denver, there are unique benefits to working with doulas who are credentialed with and have specific privileges at our facility. Credentialed doulas are fully incorporated into the HCA HealthONE Rose Labor & Delivery team of caregivers and are familiar with all the offerings at Rose Babies, including standard practices and available comfort measures for your labor and delivery stay. Rose-credentialed doulas are considered an important part of your care team and work closely with our doctors and nurses to support your experience. You can find a Rose-credentialed doula through our "Find a Doula" online directory.
